Bhokin Bhalakula Visit Crostars to Discuss Bangkok Drone Show Plans
On January 9, 2025, a Thai delegation led by Bhokin Bhalakula arrived at Crostars’ Shanghai headquarters. The visit was a working one. Both sides came prepared to talk about concrete cooperation.
Who Came and Why
Bhokin Bhalakula is a significant figure in Thai public life. He has served as Speaker of the Thai Parliament and as Deputy Prime Minister. He currently chairs the Thailand-China Cultural and Economic Association. He was accompanied alongside Jidapa Tansawat and the Association’s Vice President Cai Baishan. On the Crostars side, Chairman Rocky Shi and CEO Cui Wei received the delegation. Sun Zhongfeng, Chairman of Shanghai Shibei Hi-Tech Group, also attended the roundtable.
What Rocky Shi Presented

Rocky Shi opened by introducing Crostars’ position in China’s low-altitude economy. He described the company as one of the earliest entrants in the sector. He also outlined the three core business areas: low-altitude cultural tourism, drone training and education, and low-altitude data services.
He noted that Crostars has broken the Guinness World Record four times. He also highlighted the company’s existing track record in Thailand. The Maha Songkran World Event drone show had drawn tens of thousands of local residents and tourists. It remains one of the company’s most visible international performances. Bangkok on the Table: Four Shows Planned for 2025

Rocky Shi shared plans for 2025 directly. Crostars intends to perform four large-scale shows in Bangkok this year. He framed this as the beginning of a longer-term relationship. The goal is a regular drone show program in Thailand — not one-off events.
He argued that a normalized drone show schedule would benefit Thai tourism. It would also strengthen the country’s image as a destination for technology-driven cultural experiences. The C5 System that powers these performances is built for exactly this kind of sustained, repeatable deployment.
A Possible Role in the Yuyuan Lantern Festival
Bhokin Bhalakula responded warmly. He shared a specific opportunity: the Yuyuan Lantern Festival is set to debut in Thailand in 2025. It will be the first time the Shanghai festival travels to a Southeast Asian country. He expressed strong interest in incorporating Crostars drone shows into the event program.
The combination makes sense. The Yuyuan Lantern Festival is a major cultural draw. Adding drone formations to the program would extend its appeal and give international visitors a reason to attend that goes beyond the lanterns alone.
The Bigger Picture: 50 Years of China-Thailand Relations
2025 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Thailand. The timing of this visit was not incidental. Both sides acknowledged it. Crostars’ expansion into Thailand sits within a broader moment of bilateral exchange — in technology, culture, and economics.
Sun Zhongfeng also spoke at the roundtable. He outlined Shibei Hi-Tech Park’s development trajectory. He identified low-altitude economy and smart manufacturing as areas where China-Thailand industrial cooperation could deepen.
