Crostars Lights Up Shenzhen With a 2,000-Drone Show at Drone World Congress 2026

Crostars took center stage at Drone World Congress 2026 in Shenzhen, staging a 2,000-drone show and winning two major industry awards. The event ran from May 21 to 23 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center and marked the congress’s tenth anniversary.

Drone World Congress is one of the largest drone industry events in the world. This year it drew more than 10,000 experts, scholars, and business leaders from over 140 countries and regions. For Crostars, it was a chance to show an international audience what large-scale drone entertainment can do.

Two Top Industry Awards

Crostars left the congress with two of its most significant honors to date. The company was named a Top 10 Low-Altitude Economy Enterprise of 2026 and received the award for Outstanding Demonstration Project of 2026.

Both awards reflect years of work in flight technology, creative design, and real-world delivery. They also confirm Crostars’ standing as a leader in the drone show industry.

A 2,000-Drone Show Over the Shenzhen Skyline

The highlight came on the evening of May 20. To celebrate the congress’s tenth anniversary, Crostars launched 2,000 drones into the night sky above Shenzhen.

The fleet formed a series of crisp, fast-moving shapes: a chip-shaped robot, birds riding the wind, dolphins leaping through waves, and galloping mechanical horses. The drones also spelled out “Drone World Congress 2026” in clear block letters above the harbor. Each formation held sharp and steady against the dark sky, giving the audience a direct sense of how precise modern drone choreography has become.

Leadership on the Main Stage

Crostars chairman Shi Zheyuan was invited to speak at two of the congress’s core forums. His talks focused on where drone entertainment is heading next: shows that combine precise flight technology with interactive, audience-facing experiences rather than visual spectacle alone.

This precision is built into the hardware. Crostars’ in-house C5 drone reaches millimeter-level positioning between units, far tighter than the two-to-three-meter margin of standard GPS. That accuracy is what lets thousands of aircraft fly in close formation without collision. You can read more on the C5 System page.

What Comes Next

Drone World Congress 2026 closed as a milestone for the global drone industry, and for Crostars it confirmed a clear direction. The company designs and delivers large-scale drone light shows for events worldwide, pairing technical precision with creative storytelling.
